Report based on Mrs. Vejaya's witness on Car Vandalism
This is a report about the vandalism case that happened last year involving 5 teenage boys that scratched and spray painted the cars found at block 7 Vani road multi storey car park. Mrs Vejaya was on her way home from playing mah-jong at her friend’s house when she saw five suspicious teenagers wandering around the multi-storey car park and decided to follow them to see what they were up to.
She then saw the group of teenagers’ spray painting and scratching the vehicles all over. After which, Mrs Vani immediately left the vicinity and dialled the police. Having to eavesdrop the kids, she overheard that the teenagers were talking about a dare. Thus, they might not have any motives behind their actions. In other words, this is an act of pure urchins in the late night.
She also added that it’s also the public’s responsibility to ensure and secure peace to help prevent these sorts of crimes from happening again. Therefore, having to encounter this situation, necessary actions are to be taken.
